Welcome to St. John's
In spite of the thousands and thousands of news, social, and adorable animal-based websites on the internet, you're here.
My guess is that it's not an accident. Either through our Facebook or through Google or through some other source, you were looking for more information on this congregation. And I hope that means you're looking for a place to be in touch with the sacred, to be found by the sacred, to be forgiven and to be reconciled and to serve and to be served.
And that's a hard search. It takes time. It can challenge the things we thought we knew. God's Word creates more mysteries to explore than hard facts to argue over. And it's here, it's holy. it's as real as you or me for those who are listening for God's still, and silent voice (1 Kings 19:12).
And that mystery is why we're here. We're a congregation of people devoted to these ministries and mysteries of Christ, given to us by God. We feed the hungry, we console the despairing, welcome the stranger, and find hope in the Word, because that's where God is found. We're a congregation centered around the divine promise of Jesus Christ.
Some of us are struggling with God. Some of us are resting in God. Some of us are finding inspiration in God and doing great stuff. All of us, myself included are learning, as we encounter God in Word and Sacrament.
If that's what you're looking for, you know where to find us.
See you Sunday,
Pastor Axel Kaegler

This is when you're most likely to gather with us:
Worship and Sunday School: The youngest of us start getting together at 9 o'clock for Sunday School each Sunday morning. At 9:30 the children in the congregation lead us in song, and worship begins at 9:45. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month, as well as on Feast Days. The whole baptized Church, Lutheran or not, is welcome to receive the Lord's Supper.
Coffee Hour: Starts at around 10:45, we gather together to enliven, encourage, and take joy with our fellow disciples. Also to drink strong coffee and eat home made baked goods.
Office Hours: More often than not, you'll catch our secretary, our Pastor, our sextons, or others in the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm. To meet up with Pr. Kaegler at other hours get in contact with him by phone, Facebook, or e-mail.
Wednesday Evening Choirs: The bell choir meets at 6:30 to rehearse special music for Sunday services. The Adult Choir gathers at 7:30 to help our voices grow, to practice the songs and anthems of worship, and where we get ready to lead our congregation in praise. We end at 8:30. (Not offered during Lent or Summer time)
Willing Workers: When disciples gather to craft and create to help our congregation's mission and our spiritual life. See our bulletin and calendar for more meeting times.
